Key Responsibilities

• Clarify Terminology: Elaborate on technical and normative terminology associated with children's rights to adequate nutrition and safe drinking water
• Child Rights-Based Approach: Use a child rights-based approach to guide laws, policies, and programmes relevant to children's realities in Africa
• Outline State Obligations: Detail states' obligations regarding children's rights to adequate nutrition and safe drinking water
• Provide Guidance: Design child-sensitive social protection systems and comprehensive programmes for implementing children's rights

Key Deliverables

• Inception Report: Prepare inception report and draft outline of the General Comment and present to the ACERWC
• Draft Development: Develop a first draft of the General Comment and refine based on input for presentation to ACERWC
• Participation in Sessions: Participate in ACERWC sessions, coordination, planning, consultation, and validation meetings
• Final Draft: Develop the final draft of the General Comment based on feedback, for adoption by ACERWC
