Job Description

The Organisation

Plan International is an independent development and humanitarian organisation that advances children’s rights and equality for girls. We believe in the power and potential of every child but know this is often suppressed by poverty, violence, exclusion, and discrimination. And it is girls who are most affected.

Working together with children, young people, supporters, and partners, we strive for a just world, tackling the root causes of the challenges girls and vulnerable children face. We support children’s rights from birth until they reach adulthood and we enable children to prepare for and respond to crises and adversity. We drive changes in practice and policy at local, national, and global levels using our reach, experience, and knowledge.

For over 85 years, we have rallied other determined optimists to transform the lives of all children in more than 80 countries. We won’t stop until we are all equal.

The Talent Acquisition Manager supports Plan’s talent acquisition objectives, ensuring the robust sourcing and resourcing of talent for key Mission Critical and hard-to-fill positions within the organisation worldwide and within the Global Hub (GH).

This role is responsible for delivering process excellence and facilitating resourcing activities, including active sourcing and pipelining of talent, oversight of selection processes, and the implementation of process improvements. The manager will develop tools, templates, and training to support efficiency and upskilling of People and Culture (P&C) staff and hiring managers.

  • Compose engaging adverts and materials to build brand engagement and maintain a professional image.
  • Provide training to hiring managers and panels on screening and selection competence.
  • Engage with external networks to build talent pipelines and enhance Plan International’s reputation.
  • Build knowledge of the total reward policy to negotiate competitive offers while maintaining parity.
  • Support the improvement of the current recruitment system (HRIS/Success Factors) for operational excellence.
  • Manage general recruitment administration, including drafting job descriptions, contract offers, and interview feedback.

The Individual

  • Recruitment specialist with extensive end-to-end in-house recruitment experience.
  • Essential understanding of how to attract diverse talent and ensure inclusion and accessibility.
  • Prior experience recruiting in an international environment is desirable.
  • Well-developed negotiating and influencing skills with a track record of successful hires.
  • Ability to prioritize effectively between competing demands and challenging timelines.

Role Details

  • Type of Role: Family leave cover (starting end of May 2026 for approximately one year).
  • Reports to: Head of Talent Acquisition.
  • Salary: Disclosure of salary and benefits provided during the process (e.g., circa £45,000 per annum if based in the UK).
  • Closing Date: Friday 10th April.

Equality, diversity, and inclusion are at the heart of everything Plan International stands for. We encourage applications from all backgrounds regardless of age, disability, gender, race, or religion.
