About the Opportunity

The Inkomoko Ethiopia Client Relationship Officer (CRO) will be responsible for building, maintaining, and managing strong relationships with our customers. The CRO will oversee a portfolio of clients, ensuring their needs are met in a timely and efficient manner while working collaboratively with the investment team to provide excellent service and investment advice.


Key Responsibilities

Client Engagement & Portfolio Management

  • Manage a dedicated portfolio of clients, responding to inquiries and resolving issues or complaints courteously and professionally.
  • Engage clients on a regular basis and conduct strategic interviews to identify and address concerns.
  • Update clients and customers regularly regarding their portfolio activity and milestone successes.
  • Maintain and organize comprehensive client investment files.

Strategy, Marketing & Presentation

  • Develop and implement localized marketing strategies to grow Inkomoko's customer base.
  • Build and execute a strong customer relationship management strategy to guarantee high satisfaction.
  • Develop and deliver professional presentations for new clients to articulate Inkomoko's service offerings accurately.
  • Lead on-site customer meetings, workshops, and user training sessions.

Operations & Community Representation

  • Manage, track, and triage customer support incidents and escalations using designated metrics, tools, and processes.
  • Monitor and analyze customer relationship results, implementing strategic changes accordingly.
  • Represent Inkomoko in the local business community, conferences, and networking events.

Who We Are Looking For

Requirements (Must-Have):

  • Education: Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in a business-related field.
  • Experience: A minimum of 4 years of experience in a client-facing role within financial institutions in Ethiopia.
  • Languages: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and the Local Language.
  • Technical Skills: Excellent computer proficiency, especially with MS Excel and MS Word.

Desired Assets & Competencies:

  • Strong understanding of micro-businesses, loans, and savings products.
  • Outstanding interpersonal, problem-solving, and presentation skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Relationship Management: Relates well to a wide variety of personalities, values differences, and communicates effectively across diverse cultures.
  • Initiative: Prioritizes objectives reliably, thinks months in advance, and identifies operational bottlenecks quickly.
