MELA FOR HER is a social startup enterprise that transforms women and girls’ lives across Ethiopia by providing them with access to affordable and eco-friendly menstrual products, menstrual health education, and job opportunities.

MELA (መላ) in Amharic means SOLUTION. The company was created with the aim of bringing effective solutions to Ethiopian girls and women.

As part of our comprehensive approach to end period poverty, we are committed to research, education and raising awareness on menstrual health and hygiene, as well as sexual and reproductive rights. We also advocate for gender equality, sustainability and social innovation.
