African Union Inter-African Bureau for Animal Resources (AU-IBAR)

The African Union Inter-African Bureau for Animal Resources (AU-IBAR) is a specialized technical office of the African Union (AU) Commission responsible for supporting the sustainable development and utilization of animal resources—livestock, fisheries, and wildlife—to enhance food security, livelihoods, and economic growth across Africa. Headquartered in Nairobi, Kenya, it provides leadership and policy coordination for AU member states and Regional Economic Communities (RECs).
